Needs Assessment:
Rapidly and accurately determining approaches and solutions
for addressing both ongoing efforts and new opportunities; as well
as translating such assessments into operationalizable form. Also
includes matching identified needs to in-place, available and required
resources as a lead-in to project planning and initiation.
Business Process Re-Engineering:
Determining how best to reshape existing processes, organizations,
infrastructures and systems to address changing and emerging business
priorities. Key success factors and techniques for BPR include a
combination of managerial and technical dimensions that need to be
carefully considered and blended.
Engagement Management:
Serving as the primary interface between the client organization
and the consultancy organization regarding engagements that may span
multiple projects. This tends to be more relationship oriented than
either project management or technically oriented, so that strong
interpersonal skills and depth of experience are invaluable assets
in achieving success here.

Project Management:
Planning, scheduling, allocating resources and monitoring
project tasks throughout system development and deployment. Key success
factors here include the ability to not only manage projects in a
manner consistent with temporal and budgetary constraints but to be
sensitive to the prevailing organizational cultures and sensitivities
regarding project conduct which vary considerably across organizations
(and their constituent business units).
Strategic Planning:
Determining and articulating how best to formulate
and realize visions for key business systems and processes. Also includes
matching those system/process visions against the existing and anticipated
environment with attendant impact analyses. The blending of Strategic
Planning with shorter term Tactical Planning and day-to-day Operational
Planning is key to success here.
